As usual, the Pope of Trash does it again. Liarmouth is rude, strange and a little sexy-everything fans of John Waters look for in his work. The characters were strange but oddly relatable at times and the plot was silly but moved in a way that kept me reading and I ended up finishing the book in two afternoons. An interview in Variety (2022) says that Water’s is directing a film adaptation of Liarmouth and I’m already looking forward to it.
