The Counterfeit Heiress by Tasha Alexander

At this point, I’m used to the fact that we swing back and forth between two stories/points of view that will eventually merge. I did feel like the conclusion was obvious pretty early on. What’s odd is that the reason for the murder is so sloppy. No plan. It was an accident?!?! That’s what we get after reading a story that transpired over the course of twenty years?

Also, we start with the event of “the season” and Emily’s best friend isn’t even mentioned?

If I wasn’t whipping through these books in 24 hours, I think I’d give up.
