Noughts & Crosses by Malorie Blackman

4.0

Me and my sister both sat down and read this book in one day- the misery we were left in afterwards was inexplicable. I found it really dificult to get into at the start due to Sephy's painfully naive personality; however the more i read the more I realised this naievity of hers is brilliantly written in order to represent the blindness of those who are priviliged and their lack of comprehension to the discrimintion that occurs. The hearbreaking ending really affected both me and my sister, especially in these times where the BLM movement is as important as ever.

I 100% recommend.
