✨ I received this book as an ARC for my honest review✨

Rate: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Vivienne and Xavier’s story is such a refreshing take on the grumpy-sunshine trope! When Vivienne decides to live on a boat for the summer, she definitely throws her family for a loop. Her new neighbor, Xavier, a former hockey player, is initially all about keeping to himself—especially with his adorable dog, Beatrice, who honestly steals the show.

As the two get to know each other (thanks to Beatrice), their relationship evolves from amusing banter to a deeper connection. Vivienne’s humorous and straightforward personality clashes beautifully with Xavier’s grumpy exterior, and the chemistry between them is electric.

What I loved most was how the story tackled Xavier’s mental health issues with honesty and compassion. He left professional hockey to prioritize his well-being, and Vivienne becomes his biggest supporter as he navigates his struggles. Their conversations are real, heartfelt, and often hilarious, especially when Beatrice is involved. I really appreciated how open they were with each other—Xavier about his mental health struggles and Vivienne about her secret life as an author! Who Xavier is a HUGE fan of!!

The family dynamics add another layer, showcasing the Grant family's unwavering support for their kids. Overall, this book is a perfect mix of humor, romance, and genuine emotion, and I can’t wait for the next one in the series!
