I liked this so much more than the first book in the series. The descriptions of the Night Court are absolutely beautiful and makes me wish it was a real place to see. The main character Feyre feels much less self insert in this, and is dealing with the events from the first book in a very real way. The slow burn was just the right speed for the situation between her and Rhys, and the way he respects and treats her gives me the warm fuzzies. The depth of world building author Sarah does in this helps make the world more believable. Feyre keeps her kind disposition while still growing in her new life. I am actually looking forward to picking up the next one. I do have to say, for a book series known as spicy🌶️, the smutty scenes are fairly tame in this one.
