An Accidental Affair by Eric Jerome Dickey

3.0

There comes a time in your life when you have to think about what is important to you and what happens when it is jeopardized. In the book An Accidental Affair by Eric Jerome Dickey, James Thicke is a screenwriter who is married to Regina Baptiste, an A-List Hollywood actress. James is deeply in love with his wife. And then he receives an email that will rock him to the core. The video contains his wife and an actor, Johnny Bergs, in a compromising situation. James goes ballistic.

He decides that instead of talking things out with his wife, he is going to move away from the situation. He leaves his home in the Hollywood Hills and takes up residence in a dilapidated apartment complex, where the tenants have as many problems as James thinks he has. His personal chauffer, Driver, makes sure that he has everything he needs and the women of the complex try to take care of his other needs.

This book reminds me of so many that I have read before. The last book that I read by Mr. Dickey was Milk in My Coffee. I like his writing style because he makes you feel all of the emotions that the characters are feeling at the time with the way he plays with words. But if you are the type of person that likes to jump right in to the action of the story, this may not be the book for you.

The book was well written. If you like intrigue and intimacy in the books that you are reading, there is enough of it here to last you a lifetime. Mr. Dickey has done a good job with this one and if you do get a chance to read it, I hope that you enjoy it.
