3.5

I finished this book in ONE day, if I finished it so quickly it must have been super good right? Yes, and no. It was a good steamy read, quick and straight to the point.

Some of the things that I enjoyed:
- a witty and strong female main character, paired with a completely smitten love interest (he fell first)
- ADRIAN ADRIAN ADIRAN
- the cast of character were loveable and I felt very attached to a lot of them (Sorin, Ana, and others whose names I honestly skipped over)
- I'm a sucker for fated lovers
- it was very spicy... too much though. Like I enjoyed how quickly we descended into the  spice because let's be for real why else did any of us pick up this book- but I tired of it quickly

Some things that made this a 3.5 star read instead of a 5 star for me:
- I was expecting enemies to lovers but it was done really poorly because she literally wanted him from the moment she saw him and even when she knew he was her enemy
- Isolde was at times VERY annoying, but she grows on you as all the pieces fall into place
- they were such jealous lovers like damn, Adrian couldn't been seen with a girl without Isolde giving him a lecture; and if anyone thought anything negative about Isolde Adrian would make sure they never thought again
- Kiillian... man, he aggravated me so much, and her dad too to be honest... And basically everyone from her kingdom
- I was a bit bored at some parts in the middle
- plot wasn't all there, steamy scenes can only get you so far I'm not sure I will be reading book 2 any time soon
