The story was very wholesome. A nice read between dark suspense romance and fantasy but not quite refreshing. I still like the first book which Mack was a single dad in a very similar situation with Sylvia in this book. I just dislike that the first book was fun, cute and fluffy while this one was a lot heavier. Like everyone was depressed, frustrated, crying and struggling.
