The Acts Of Life by Kristin Mulligan

4.0

So, when I tell you I was in a complete and total reading rut…I mean it. I’d had a pretty blah time with the last two romances I read and I just didn’t know if I had the brain capacity for a full-blown thriller and despite having a gazillion unread books on my shelf. Absolutely zero of them were calling to me.

Enter: The Acts of Life.

Rarely, RARELY, do I turn to my Kindle to find something to read despite the many perfectly decent free Amazon bestseller books sitting on there waiting for me. But as I sat scrolling, there sat The Acts of Life beaming at me like a shining star in the night sky.

Now I don’t need to tell you anything about this book because if you’ve been around Bookstagram long enough and follow the same circle of peeps that graciously make up my feed, then you’ve seen the rave reviews of our friend, @read.it.and.sleep ‘s book. And here I am to just heap my review on the top of the pile.

The Acts of Life was everything I needed exactly when I needed it. Part romance/part suspense, this book married my two great loves into the most engaging work of fiction I’ve read in quite some time.

Sam and Harper were steamy, ya’ll. The chemistry was sizzling and since I went into this one blind, I didn’t know that at some point, the tables would turn and never stop.

Stella. I loved to hate her but WHY?!? Why do we hate her so?? You’ll just have to read to find out.

Kristin has a true gift with writing and I am so glad I picked this gem up when I did. Read it ya’ll. Here’s your sign.
