The Girl of Ink and Stars by Kiran Millwood Hargrave

5.0

I really enjoyed this book. Isabella, the cartographer’s daughter is a brilliant character. She is fiesty and adventurous but she also feels anxious quite a lot too. She has to keep her friendship with the Governers daughter a secret because he wouldn't approve.

This book won the Waterstones children's book prize in 2017 but I also think it is a great book for young adults and adults alike.

Such great scenes that have you gripped and on the edge of your seat. You really feel emersed in the situations throughout the book and it's really exciting.

I highly recommend this book for young adults and adults.
