Mrs England
by Stacey Halls
QUOTE:
“‘Something’s not right here.’ I was aware of Mr Booth’s eyes on me, and he seemed to hold his breath. ‘What do you mean?’ ‘In the house. With the family.’“
REVIEW:
This is my 3rd Stacey Halls book. The first 2 I absolutely loved. This one I found myself slipping from it sometimes but it still wasn't too bad.
This book follows a nurse called Ruby in 1904. She is sent to a quiet place in Yorkshire to look after the English family and their 4 children. When there she discovers that all is not as it seems.
Mrs English is quite tense at parts and was very enjoyable again. Stacey Halls is definitely one of my favourite authors and I would definitely read one of hers again.
