I’m loving this series. The amount of perspectives that there are is a bit much, and it’s definitely a lot to keep track of but I think that kind of speaks to the world building and allows readers to really immerse themselves in the story.
I love the complexity of characters like Veradis, who has definitely done some bad things in the name of Nathair and due to his (in my opinion) blind loyalty to him.I was so glad when he finally found out about Calidus being Kadoshim and Nathair being the Black Sun, and then freeing Fidele and Maquin and co, as well as Alcyon!!! I’m excited to see him hopefully join up with Corban’s warband and help them fight
Chapter 66 was probably my favorite in the series so far.Seeing all of the people that have joined Corban and chose to follow him express their gratitude and pledge themselves to him was beautiful. I was crying throughout the whole scene Corban has grown so much since the beginning, as a warrior and also emotionally and intellectually. I’m anxious and excited to see how the story wraps up with the last book.
