Sword of Destiny by Andrzej Sapkowski

5.0

4.5 stars. That was amazing. I enjoyed it so much more than book 1. Like the first one this was sort of like a collection of short stories, but much longer stories. To give you an idea the first adventure was about 20% of the book. So I was able to invest more in the characters and I felt more tethered to the plot. Frigging love Dandelion aka Jaskier. Best friend a witcher could ask for. Yennifer came off as b****y shrew and I struggled to finish off Geralt's story with her. Then Jaskier popped up and made everything better by dragging Geralt on a crazy adventure that ended with them partying in a brothel. Seriously best dude bro ever. The ending was absolutely glorious and I loved it to death!!!! All the built up drama and feels just exploded in happy tears.
My only real criticism besides the Yennifer debacle would be that the stories do play fast and loose with the timeline. Going from the past to the future to the present to go back to the past. I would've been terribly confused if I wasn't already familiar with the timeline.
