An Astronaut's Guide to Life on Earth: What Going to Space Taught Me about Ingenuity, Determination, and Being Prepared for Anything by Chris Hadfield

4.0

This was an engaging & readable memoir of the life of an astronaut where the power of negative thinking and sweating the small stuff keeps you alive. I’m in awe of his self-discipline and single-minded dedication to his purpose. He dedicates the book to his wife, Helena, and she is the real super-hero of the book, though he doesn’t say a lot about their marriage. No way you raise 3 kids on an astronaut’s schedule unless someone else is doing some major heavy-lifting. I want to read her memoir. This was written 10 years ago and I wonder what he thinks of all the billionaire tech moguls starting up space program these days.
