The Sinister Booksellers of Bath by Garth Nix

5.0

I really enjoyed this book and this duology. Both books were like sinking into a warm bath—so comforting and comfy. Even though this one opens on a surprisingly dark note.

I loved getting more of this world and these characters. And seeing Susan deal with who she is and what that might mean felt very real and deepened her character. I also loved that Merlin (and Vivian) still let her keep her autonomy. It’s refreshing and powerful when a love interest trusts a woman to make her own decisions and live her life even if they are worried. Caring without being overbearing… how refreshing!

In all, I’m so glad I finally picked these books up. I’ll be keeping my eye out just incase there’s another installment!
