I'm a vampire nutcase. I admit it. But these books are EONS ahead of Twilight in writing and creativity, IMHO. No "sparkly" vampires who are wannabe disney fairies. No more not needing human blood to live.

Vampires in NYC just seem ... sexier better, yanno?

To be honest, the whole series is like a "Gossip Girls" thing with a Dracula twist. Funfunfun!

By FAR my favorite book in the series so far, Schyler just seems to be getting stronger as a protagonist.

In one of my favorite scenes (the Four Hundred Ball) Shy wears the dress her mother wore attending the same type of event so many years ago. It gave her a prescence..... Made her grow up in a way. Realize she has (in some ways) be brave like her mother.
