Bossypants by Tina Fey

2.0

I give credit to Tina Fey for spurring this genre of women in comedy writing memoirs/a collection of stories, but I’ve read so many since this came out that I finished the book disappointed. I think she does a poor job following a plot line here and it kinda jumps all over the place, much like a sketch show. What killed it for me was the excessive use of pop culture references that only her demographic would understand. I oftentimes couldn’t understand the comparison she’d be making simply because I don’t know who the popular actors are that she watched as a teenager.
