I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH! It is amazing! this is my first time reading this book and also I never watched any of its movie adaptations before (except Van Helsing, and the story was totally different, of course!). I have no idea why I never read it until Clara from @thebookwormofnotredame did a readalong of this book, and now I’m totally fascinated by it! I love the writing style and the story. I really enjoy the concept of sums up the stories through Journals, Diary, Letters, News Articles, and Telegrams, that was superb! I might a bit unsatisfied with the lackness on the background story of every characters, but I found that their unique characteristics mesmerized me!
I definitely recommend this book to you, if you love to read gothic classic with amazing story and veiled by lots of mystery that takes time to be revealed. however, if you don’t like a slow pace kind of story, I don’t know whether you going to like it or not, but my advice is “give it a try!”.
