Phantom by Susan Kay

5.0

*A warning to those who struggle with sensitive issues, this book does describe murders (not too descriptive, don't worry), the death of a beloved pet, and an attempt of rape on a minor*

If you have seen the musical, the movie, or read the original book, this is a perfect story to read! A nice mixture of the original story by Gaston Lerox, the TV film with Charles Dance (available on YouTube) and the musical, this story tells the life story of Erik, the man who would go on to become the infamous Phantom of the Opera. This is not only told from his point of view, but also his mother, the Persian (Nadir), his former mentor, Christine...
AND EVEN RAOUL!!
