April and Eddie take a wrong turn and end up the center of a murder investigation.

They find a girl walking down the street and offer her a ride. It becomes obvious that something is terribly wrong with her and they take her to the hospital where she passes.

It's a small town so obviously they want to immediately blame April and Eddie for the murder. It doesn't help that Eddie was discharged from the military due to some indiscretions he had. He also has some mental health issues from his time.

April has some secrets of her own. She has been running most of her life and had no intention of stopping now. She just wants to help solve these murders first.

Told in traditional Simone St. James style we get a little of the present mixed with the past. There is murder, paranormal activity, and mystery.
