This was one of my most anticipated reads of the year, and it did not disappoint!
My Summary: After the events of Heartless Hunter, Rune Winters is on the run.She is forced to align herself with a witch she thought was a friend but actually stands for everything Rune is against. Gideon found out that the person he most hated and thought was dead is actually alive, and the girl he thought he loved sided with them. Gideon has sworn to find Rune and make sure she can never hurt him or anyone else again. As much as they'd like to think they are, the feelings Gideon and Rune had for each other might not just be in the past. But these two enemies might have to put aside their hatred and work together for a while. Can they create a world in which they can both thrive? Or is that truly impossible?
My Thoughts: Full of secrets and unrequited love, Rebel Witch offers a thrilling conclusion to the Crimson Moth duology. Rune and Gideon have one of the best slow burn enemies to lovers stories. Even though they are still very much on opposite sides of the war, they are forced to work together and even be in a fake marriage to complete a heist and make it home.
This book is also full of witches, magic, and one question: can there be a world in which witches and humans live in harmony? However, to create this world, Rune and Gideon will have to overcome deep-seated prejudices on both sides and move forward in a way that will benefit everyone.
I could read about this world for another book or two, but I thought the conclusion to this duology was wonderfully done. The Crimson Moth duology is one that I will be recommending for a long time for fans of enemies to lovers romance and witches.
