What a beautiful and endearing collection of stories!

Clar Angkasa's art style pairs well with her sweet and thoughtful storytelling. I enjoy the way she plays with non-linear storytelling a bit in here, and I love the way she's retold the Indonesian folktales she grew up with.

I'm a big fan of folklore retelling, and it warms my heart to see this done here in such a lovely way. I like that she included the original stories at the back for us to read in comparison, and I gotta say, I liked her versions way more!

This collection is truly worth a read-- full of luscious art and fresh new approaches mixed with nostalgia, I definitely recommend checking it out!
