So this book had a slow start for me. Not bad, just slow. It picked up significantly around 30%
In addition to the slow start, I have two more criticisms for this book. The first is that while the FMC is 21 and married, this book is labeled Young Adult and includes one descriptive intimate or spicy scene nearly 70% into the story. I did not appreciate the surprise, open door scene. Therefore, this book, despite being labeled YA, is not suitable for YA and would be better classified as New Adult.
The second criticism is the inclusion of a prologue that ruined what could have been a great plot twist. I suggest reading the prologue after chapter 18 as a flashback chapter if you want to be properly surprised.
Despite those downsides, this book was a lot of fun. I loved the magic and whimsical nature of this series. The writing was beautiful, and the end wrapped up everything perfectly. A solid end to the trilogy.
