 I read this YA book because granddaughter Ada is obsessed with this and everything by Jenny Han. I started it on Friday and finished on Saturday during Miriam’s “book crawl.” Texted Ada a gushy note that I loved the book. Her response was short: “Okay tell me when you want the second book.” Ha ha. It’s a well-developed novel, with the hypervigilant observations of a 15-year-old girl who is anxious and uncertain (not in an excessive way, just like any teen). She’s also a great swimmer and good at Latin (!). A few surprises at the end. Satisfying and smooth story.
