Aw, this was such a fun read! I was a bit hesitant to read a Christmas-y book so early before the holidays start, but this book had Christmas serve perfectly as a backdrop instead of being so in-your-face with cheer. Ally Carter has put together a mystery a la Knives Out but with a rivals-to-lovers layer to keep you hanging on. I especially loved having mystery writers be the focus of the novel so we got to hear some publishing-related things going on in the background AND the bookstore I work at along with one of my coworkers was mentioned on page 24! (Shout out to John and Murder By The Book!) The book was a fun one and I enjoyed how she wrapped it up. I'm always down for a good quest with clues.
