Hellboy in Mexico by Mike Mignola, Gabriel Bá, Fábio Moon, Richard Corben, Mick McMahon

4.0

I'll never stop loving Hellboy. He as a character is so perfectly balanced and Mignola is so perfectly open to whatever may suit him. I also love his pre-tale rundown of explaining why the story, how the production, why the art. Hellboy romping through Mexico all drunk for five months was an ideal throwaway gag and the fact that Mignola came back to it in order to tell it, and to do with such wild anarchy, from luchadore brothers to a mysterious wife, it's grand. It's all grand.
