Rising Silver Mist by Olivia Wildenstein

An exciting final to the trilogy

Cat had decided on a few things after everything that had happened. One, she would never kill anyone ever again. Two, she was done with faerie bargains. And three, she would not marry the enemy. The only problem is that she broke all those rules when someone came to murder her father. She now has to go to the faerie isle and lie to her loved ones in the process, and there's nothing she can do to stop it.

Although the beginning was a little annoying with useless boy drama, the second part of the book had me on a tight grip. I couldn't put it down. It was like being transported into another world entirely, and in a way, it was exactly that. The fantasy part of the series was more present, for my greatest pleasure. Cat faced difficult choices, and the decisions she made were motivated by love and the want to do what's right, which I admire. The world was truly amazing and fascinating, I loved to discover more about characters that were mentionned but never seen, it was quite exciting. As for the romance... it was hot and full of tension, a perfect follow-up to the characters' relationship throughout the beginning of the story. The plot twists were surprising, but also made a lot of sense afterward, and it was a very pleasant and conclusive ending to Cat's story. The writing was quite gripping, especially when Cat was in precarious situations, and it had me turning the pages faster than I could read to see what would happen next. I'm really glad I picked this trilogy up and continued reading after the first one, and I look forward to read other books by Olivia.

I'd recommend to fans of faeries and urban fantasy with political intrigues and a lot of romance.
