Hard Fall by James Buchanan

Here's the deal. I liked it, but I didn't love it. I loved the climbing parts. I thought they made great climbing partners, trusting. Especially when Joe let Kabe take lead. I am somewhat familiar with the jargon so I wasn't thrown with that.

What I didn't get was why were Joe and Kabe drawn to each other? All they had in common was a love of climbing. Kabe tore down Joe's religion every chance he got. To me, that's not respectable. I'm an atheist and I would never talk that way to my lover about their religion. I guess I just didn't understand why they were together.
SpoilerThen Joe loses everything because of Kabe and all we really get is a HFN.

The crime...ummm...could we get a reason behind it? Maybe tell us what happened at the end? I was involved in that and then it kind of got pushed off to the side.

I would have also liked more of what Joe went through, in town.
SpoilerWas everybody shunning him? Were some people sticking with him? What about Nadia did she come out?

So overall, it was an interesting read. My mouth kind of dropped at certain parts because I could not believe what was going on. Actually, it shouldn't have surprised me, but it did. I am so over bigots.
