South and West: From a Notebook by Joan Didion

3.0

South and West written by Joan Didion was my introduction to the works of Didion and I don't think it was a particulary good idea on my part. The book in itself is just a collection of little snippets that Didion wrote why on her journey through the South of the US with her husband, John Gregory Dunne, in June 1970, through Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. I listened to this on audio book and realized that I not only am not really a fan of audio books and would have rather read it with my own eyes but also that as a reader, not from the US, I had a hard time following along with their journey.

I still want to pick up more from Joan Didion as I am intrigued to find out what more she has to offer.
