I'm definitely not a huge Narnia fan. HOWEVER. I enjoyed this one way more than the actual original. I would have liked to read the whole series when I was little if I'd started with this prequel. I think seeing world-building and being able to connect it to future books is and was one of my favorite things to do ever. However the series is still for children, and these days I am used to more complexity so it's hard to get into the simplistic plot. I might read the other books but I'm not sure if I want to....
I did enjoy making parallels since Lewis and Tolkien were friends. Oh hello magic rings! Atlantis mentioned, what a sick Numenor reference!
