Am I Normal Yet? by Holly Bourne

I must admit, I didn't see that coming, like at all. So the story revolved around a 16-year-old Evelyn (or Evie, as they called her), who had been struggling with severe OCD. She was just coming off her meds and she should be fine. She went to college, her only best friend at the time, Jane, found a boyfriend, Joel, and she felt left behind, forced to shape a friendship with his best mate, Guy. Then she met Lottie and Amber and became instant best friends.

They came up with some feminism ideas, creating their own feminist club, The Spinster Club. As the story went, Evie met two guys, Ethan and then Oli; two people with issues that she thought was too much to handle, seeing that she had her own OCD to care for. Then, there's Guy, and her family. She was confused and pressured by the idea of being "normal" and she eventually relapsed and in denial. Then, the plot thickened and twisted. I was in so deep, burying my nose in the book, smiling my face off.... *Sigh* I just wasn't ready.

It had a happy ending, but not the kind of happy ending I was half expecting. Such an exciting read. Wish I'd picked up this book much sooner. Look forward to read the other 3 books. ✌
