Did not finish book. Stopped at 20%.

I just didn’t connect with the writing, and the exploration of different eras felt cliche. I dropped it when the main character started to wonder if social media was bad for society in the most basic “no one is living in the moment anymore” way. After reading Mary Karr, I didn’t have patience for writing that was just okay.
