This is what happens when perverse Weebs get high and then in order to fulfill some of their dark twisted fantasized hallucinations, go on to create NGNL, causing a space-time dis-continuum and violating causality such that the 'inspiration' traverses space and time, reaches 88's Banks who then gives a Culture spin on the whole thing and publishes this , later serving also as the inspiration for NGNL, thus restoring space-time continuum and preserving causality; causing and ending the time loop.
It's a pretty weird tale actually.
