Wild, Wild Cowboy by Elizabeth Bright

YES YES YES.
zacky baby...wow. i love a reformed player, ESPECIALLY when he's feral for the unassuming librarian who dresses like she's fresh off the compound. and boy does this book deliver. the banter? phenomenal. there's no way i would have been able to resist this man in real life with the smooth talking he does.

zack is back home, licking his wounds after being injured in his last ride. hannah is living her life free from
her past as a librarian in a small town and needs the
help of the bad boy rodeo hero for a fundraising event she's throwing.

she thought she was clear that she didn't want a relationship but zack just can't help himself and after letting the tension simmer for a bit he finally says "fck it". and he is DOWN BAD. the ankles ...THE ANKLES FFS.

i do wish the ending didn't feel so rushed, but it wraps up really well and i think it leaves space for a smidge more to develop later on. it just felt more like a "happily for now" than a "happily ever after" but there aren't any cliffhangers or anything like that and once again, it makes sense for them to be there in that time frame.

what's inside:
-retired bronc rider x small town fmc
-small town
-DOWN BAD MMC
-spice lessons
-mental health rep

cw/tw:
-religious trauma
-suicidal thoughts
-child marriage
-discussion of horse slaughter industry

thank you for the ARC!!!
