Rahhh you know what, I liked this book, especially the beginning. In my head for some reason I saw it in the style of director Adam Elliot and I feel that this book adapted to his style would work so great. My rating however, is reflective of the doctor character because brother ewwwww……like why is he is still romantically attracted to the abusive mother in the end of the book when we literally know what she’s done, and the book hints that he’s going to adopt Louis after he wakes up? Like BROTHER…. I know we can write morally ambiguous characters and still make a good book out of them but nah I didn’t like this. I wanted more Louis, his mind was so interesting…why did I have to read about the stinky doctor. Also, pacing got weird around the end imo. It’s so weird how the doctor just fell for Natalie kinda outta nowhere,I think this book could have been longer to explore this to be honest. So in all, this book had potentially, but I think it lost focus and could have been explored in more depth.
