This book was just so much fun!

While I didn't find myself loving the second book in the series (because it just felt a little lackluster in comparison to the first), I thoroughly enjoyed this third installation! It was filled with just as much excitement and adventure as the first book - if not more.

I felt as though there was more character growth in this book. I don't know if that's just because they've gotten a little older and they're maturing or what, but it made me enjoy their personalities more rather than finding them annoying. Along with that, there were new characters added to the story that really brought something special to this particular book.

I don't know if Artemis's warriors will be a permanent addition to the cast or not, but I hope they are. That entire storyline was fascinating to me and I'm deeply curious as to how Annabeth regards them long-term.

Percy was a little less goofy in this book and much more useful and intelligent. I loved seeing his quick decision-making in times of crisis. I felt like he held his own as the "chosen one" for the first time in the series.

I can't wait to find out what happens next.
