The sequel to Taken by Fate is here, and y’all – there’s high stakes, there’s a new territory to explore, there’s a boy to find and an heir to protect, there’s something seemingly *wrong* with the world, there’s something seemingly *more* about Sienna, and also? THERE’S SPICE.
Though “Hunted by Fate” doesn’t cover quite as much ground or answer quite as many lingering questions from “Taken by Fate,” the first book in the series, as I’d hoped, it’s still an extremely quick and engrossing read, full of cross-court intrigue, interesting worldbuilding, plot twists, and maybe even a surprise kraken.🤗
And yes, the chemistry between Dominic and Sienna looms large – especially as things between them spice up and their connection deepens, but also frays as they continue to chafe against each other, seemingly always moving one step forward and then two steps back (but still unable to deny their attraction and the way they’re drawn to each other).
That said, I was hoping for a bit more character development from these two and to get to know them both beyond the motivations revealed in the first book – but it seems like I’ll be waiting until the next one to get more emotional beats.
Additionally, I must admit that given how many questions are still unanswered, I’m wondering just how brisk the pacing of the final book in the trilogy might be when it’s out later this year – but at the same time, I’m very much looking forward to it. It’s primed be a super-intense finale, and I can’t wait for *everything* it’s going to bring.
