This Is How You Lose the Time War by Max Gladstone, Amal El-Mohtar

4.0

Well that was a hell of a good read. It took me awhile to get into it; the prose is very intense and flowery. But then that's deliberate, and referred to internally in the text, and once you plow through that is's quite beautiful. The plot is very oblique too but really it doesn't matter. I never thought a romantic novel of letters between two lovers could also be a hard sci-fi time travel story. Pretty phenomenal accomplishment. Very much liked this book.
