What can I say about this second installment in the Green Creek series? This was definitely more frustrating that Wolfsong. With Gordo’s backstory and all the hurt and anger he felt in past and present time, it was hard to separate myself from what he was feeling. I wanted him to move on from his hurt so bad and caught myself yelling at him to just get over it already and be with Mark. And poor Mark. His shit was just as a sad, too. I have new found feelings towards Thomas Bennett and it was so upsetting that he just left Gordo and didn’t even really care on his return to Green Creek.

I loved the scene with Gordo and Thomas. I feel like that was so important for Gordo to heal and move on from that part of his anger.

The whole last half of the book was a wild ride. The hunters, Elijah, Dale…

Also, THAT ENDING. Can’t wait for #3
