Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Vol. 5 by Koyoharu Gotouge
4.0
This series continues to be a delight.
With all our main heroes facing off against the spider family we have some tough situations they must escape. This one is the highlight of Tanjiro verses a crazy woman spider who hates her sister, and Inosuke facing off against his toughest oppent yet. When all looks lost we have two new arrivals, mysterious corps members, who decide to deliver the justice these demons deserve.
This is basically one big action set piece. There's couple of funny moments but for the most part this is one big ass battle. It's also really fucked up, some deaths make me wonder if this is really just rated teen instead of mature. Also, the new characters kick a lot of ass. The ending leaves off on a "oh shit" cliffhanger that makes you want to read the next.
This series really maintains high quality by giving us a great cast and badass fights. While not as funny as the last volume it's still super enjoyable. A 4 out of 5.
