This one was my least favorite in the series. I think it was really jarring to go from

Emilia being soooo hell bent on saving her sister to then going to being HELLA lustful for Wrath. It just felt kind of idk if jarring is the right word, but odd? I guess. Also, kind of?? Inappropriate? Like, it was such a divergence from what the first book had illustrated her as, it seemed kind of odd.

That said, I did enjoy the book, and I liked learning about the new characters

and worlds

we were introduced to. Unfortunately, a huge twist in this book I accidentally spoiled for myself so that was a real bummer. But I still enjoyed it nonetheless. I just wish

the character arc matched the beginning more, I guess.

BUT I really enjoy Manscalco's writing and the audiobook for the second book was just as beautifully done as the first!
