Ten Steps to Nanette: A Memoir Situation by Hannah Gadsby

challenging dark emotional funny reflective sad tense slow-paced

4.25

I listened to Hannah narrate this on Libro.fm and was so glad I chose the audiobook over a physical book. This is a compelling and brutal, yet matter-of-fact memoir. I cried and winced throughout and yet never felt emotionally piled on. As someone also diagnosed with ADHD in adulthood, I really appreciated hearing Hannah’s perspective and description of their experience. I nodded a lot during that chapter.

For anyone who is a fan of Hannah’s work, especially Nanette, I highly recommend listening to this book.
