The Book of Azrael by Amber V. Nicole

Did not finish book. Stopped at 30%.

The world building is this book is really lacking. From what I gathered another world collided with earth(?) causing the world to be remade and celestials and a god now rule the world. The celestials aren’t gods but are close to gods. There’s also vampires, witches, werewolves, etc that might have already been on earth but may have come from the colliding world. I don’t actually know as this is never explained. The overall lack of explanation of how the world works and why we should care about the conflict take a lot away from the book as we’re not given a reason to care about it.
