Unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy this book as much as I’d hoped. The characters and story didn’t grab me, and the ending felt incredibly rushed. The mystery element of the novel unravels very suddenly and in what felt like a huge expositive dump. I also found the characters difficult to relate to or like, and I don’t believe that was the intention of the author, either. Either way, this book was fairly middle-of-the-road to me. I think your mileage may vary, however, depending on what you like in a story, so if the synopsis interests you l, I would still give it a try!
