The Moonlight Child by Karen McQuestion
4.0

I have a problem where I hate the ending to most thrillers because they're predictable. This wasn't all that different. You kind of know where it's going right from the start. That didn't stop me from enjoying the ride, though. I think a big part of the reason I gave this four stars is because I loved the relationship between Sharon and Niki. They're the two least likely people to throw together, but it works for that reason. Niki, the troubled teen, and Sharon the empty nester. When they get a glimpse of a small child washing the dishes in the middle of the night at the neighbors, it sends Sharon and Niki into a spiral trying to figure the mystery out. Because, duh, their crazy neighbor lady doesn't have small children.

It's not the most realistic, feasible book...but it's a page turner.
