Maeve (h) and Asher’s (H) romance is officially one of my favorite friends-to-lovers of all time. It was touching, intimate and got me all in my feels. I also enjoyed the way the way consequences of their pact and Las Vegas night played out and impacted their relationship. It felt fresh and perfectly suited to them. The pacing was just right and made me root for them the whole time.

Ten years of friendship, through the highs and lows Maeve and Asher’s friendship serves as the foundation for their love story. Their shared history leads to an innate and believable connection. They truly cared for each other in so many ways and reminded me why, when done right, friends to lovers can be one of the best tropes.

Whether or not you’ve read the other books in this series Asher is a fan favorite and this book he continues to show us it’s impossible to not love him. He shows his commitment and loyalty in many ways throughout this book and we even get to see his commanding side (in the bedroom
