Beneath the Mountain by Luca D'Andrea

5.0

I devoured this book in one day, however I believe that the writing style isn't for everybody, you are either going to love or hate it. The story gripped me from the first page, I couldn't put the book down and I was just as obsessed with the mystery of massacre of Bletterbach.

Also I haven't been reading thrillers for quite some time now, because I started to see through the mysteries right away. This novel was completely different. I had a strong guess what the resolution was going to and it turned out to be so unbelievably wrong, I can't not give the author props for leading me into a trap.

So if you are a fan of the thriller genre, books that take place in stunning locations (you really need to google some pictures of the dolomites while reading, they are stunning) and you also are open to a rather differs kind of reading style, this is the book for you!
