Rome by Jay Crownover

3.0

I enjoyed this installment of Marked Men. I think I dig Rome more than the other guys in the group. Maybe because I'm not the biggest fan of piercings, and Rome wasn't all gaged up. Or maybe it is because he is a true warrior, protector, alph-male. I liked his character. PTSD is real and extremely difficult fact of life for many of our soliders. I am glad that the in the end he was looking into help. Unfortunately so many of our soliders battle this situation alone.
Cora was a bit too immature for me. She was represented as being a fixer of all problems, and a total bad-ass chick. But she couldn't let go of her ex being a douche? I mean it has been years, and she was only hurt once. Most women deal with various heart breaks and cheating situations before giving up. I guess I can't relate because I've been in her shoes and didn't give up on the male species. Secondly her best friends are guys, womanizing guys at that. How can she not see that not all guys are the same? So overall I had a hard time connecting to Cora. But I liked the development of the relationship with Rome.
Overall it was a fun, easy read.
