Everyman by Philip Roth
2.0

Ok, Biff Ackley pointed out to me that he does a good job depicting the disintegration of the main character's physical self, and his slow acknowledgement of the same. But why does Philip Roth have to write such cartoonish female characters, ONLY viewable as sex objects? And why can't his brother just have been more measurably successful than him, rather than being (from what I remember) ridiculously super-rich, one of the top five partners at Goldman Sachs and worth $50 million? Because otherwise he wouldn't be an everyman if his brother only had a mere $5 million?
