I genuinely L O V E D this book. It spoke on many topics that I resonate with so much and topics/ feelings that I just don’t see a lot in books or YA books. It was genuine. It was real and it was truthful. Definitely feel like this was good for 16/17+ because emotions are all over the place at this age and this book might help late teens understand more things in all kinds of relationships.

Some topics being, emotions after intimacy, being a child of divorce, friendships fights and when best friends get into relationships.

Personally I didn’t really like Claude at times, but that is what makes a character more rounded and more interesting. I still related in some ways or maybe saw some of my younger self in her when I was going through high school. All the supporting characters and main character were flawed but in realistic ways, it was believable and a true representation of a young persons life around high school and college.

Jeremiah Crew in all his glory was care free, cheeky and clueless. If only they didn’t refer to his bare feet every chapter… kinda gave me the ick. Lowkey I felt weird that they barely referred to each other by their names although “captain” was a cute nickname.
